Alan Fitzpatrick’s name is one that is steadily growing not through hundreds of releases but heavily due to the tremendous quality of music that he is releasing, both on Drumcode and his own imprint ‘8 Sided Dice’. Throughout Alan’s career he has played across the globe at some of the most revered venues including Fabric, Global Gathering, Carl Cox’s Revolution, Hyperspace and has just been given a residency at London’s synonymous after-hours event,Jaded. His last few releases on Drumcode have excelled with Skeksis and Human reason both taking the number one spot on the Beatport Techno chart.
Alan Fitzpatrick’s new EP ‘In the Beginning’ makes the most of the industrial techno style with ambient percussion to create space and rhythm giving ‘In the Beginning’ a big warehouse feel. The droning synth carries the track through before a melodic synth line gives the track the boldness that has seen the Alan Fitzpatrick sound become infamous around the world. Lexicon uses a pitch bending synth as well as old-school synth strings and pads to create another atmospheric track that will be a staple in any techno set.
